Hi

I just wanted to say that I attended my first Branch meeting last week and I really enjoyed it.

I was so nervous when I attended the meeting and apprehensive but I am so glad I did it and went.

I was amazed by how the members encouraged and helped other members and the atmosphere is so friendly. 

I would definitely recommend to anyone who is a member to attend this meeting.

Thank you all for making me feel welcome.

Great to hear that you found your first branch meeting enjoyable and friendly. ICB Branch meetings are a great way to make those crucial connections and make great friends! 

Hope to meet you at the Bookkeepers Summit this year. There has always been a good showing from the Yorkshire bookkeepers who take up a couple of tables at the Members Dinner so it would be great for you to get involved!

We are a lovely bunch in South Yorkshire and we all help each other in our branch meetings, not to mention the fantastic speakers

Hi Claire,

There are not yet any announced Branch meetings for Sheffield specifically. However, there is an active facebook page for ICB North Yorkshire, who often hold Branch meetings. This may be a bit further afield than you were hoping for, but just wanted to give you an option! Here is the link to the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1610326285862599/.

There is also an ICB North East Regional members group on facebook. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ICBNEMembers/. 

I hope that this helps and as always, check back on the Events tab here on the ICB website as any Branch meetings will be announced there.

Hello Everyone

I thought I would just pop my head in here and let you know that there a Branch meeting has been booked for Tuesday 1 May 7 - 9 pm at the Barnsley Business Innovation Centre, this is the first meeting in over 12 months and so is a social event to see what everyone would like to happen in the next 12 months and how we can facilitate that.  

If you are able to come, please book a ticket through ICB events and we look forward to seeing you there.  

If you aren’t able to make it, please let me know what sort of thing you are hoping to get out of the branch meetings, how often you would like them and is the time of the meeting the best time for you, all of these things will be taken to the meeting on 1 May to discuss and hopefully start to build a programme of events for the coming 12 months.

Thanks for the message about the new group starting up. Sadly I am unable to join you tomorrow evening, although that time slot is generally quite convenient  

I have only ever been to 1 branch meeting, during which a lady from Icb HQ came to speak to us about the latest Bookkeeping developments, and I found it really useful  

If there are a variety of informal talks from experts on different relevant topics, I think I would find that really interesting and useful. I will look forward to hearing what the program of meetings will be
