I have just completed the self assessment mock paper - which is an online only exam i.e. no upload is required. I was surprised therefore to get a message saying "exam is being marked". So far a few hours have passed and the message is still there, so it can't be a systems crash. Has anyone else encountered this?

Hiya,

I took this paper a couple of weeks ago and it was marked within 3 days. I took the live paper shortly after and that was marked within a week. Hope you've done well!

The ICB website says:

"Most ICB assessments are marked immediately and your result will be viewable straight away in MyICB."

It doesn't explain why this particular one is subject to delay - there is no upload component.

I think this exam is marked more like BA4, rather than the yes/no only rogo exams. That may also explain why this exam costs more. I'm sure ICB will release your result to you quickly, but I admit I was bouncing with anxiety waiting for my final exam result! good luck again, I really like the subject of taxation!
