Hi everyone, i can do the 4th at 4pm in Poole if thats what everyone is going with.

I must share this email from the ICB, namely one Agatha, who got in touch re meeting up, even though it was not my suggestion, it would be good to be recognised by the ICB i think.....

Hi Stephen,

I hope you are well.

I just wanted to drop you a quick email to introduce myself as I have recently seen your posts on the Forum regarding a meet up in Bournemouth for fellow bookkeepers. My role within ICB is to organise and run the ICB Branches across the UK, helping to bring members together. I know that sadly Bournemouth do not currently have a Branch at the moment and was excited to see you organising a meet up for members in the area. It is so great to see members communicating and supporting each other on the Forum and that so many are keen to get together, ICB would like to support this in every way we can.

When you have a date, time and place set up, please do let me know as ICB would like to provide coffee and cake for you and the members that are attending.

Please do keep me updated as I would be happy to help in any way I can.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you have a great week.

Kind regards,

Agatha

Hi All, Leisa, Ken and I met up yesterday afternoon and agreed that we should set up a closed group on Facebook.  ICB Bournemouth Bookkeepers Forum has now been set up.  Its open to any and all bookkeepers in the area - all welcome.  please email me if you would like to join (kbskerr@btinternet.com).  Alternatively contact Leisa or Ken.

We want this to be a place where all of us can share ideas, support and encourage one another and hopefully ICB will also get on board.

Regards,

Tom

Hi Steve

Assignment 5 would be produced by Ideal Schools and not by ICB.  Not sure if it has changed since I did it 12 months ago.  Is it EJ Vincent case studyasking for journal entries, P & L, Balance Sheet and B/F ledger amounts?

If so, what are you finding confusing?

Best wishes

Ken

Steve... my first venture on here but I have no idea how to post a question / discussion. Cannot see where to do it for the life of me and it is driving me nuts as I desperately want to ask a question. Can you help?

Many thanks

On another note, i am just about to take my BA4, which after 9 assignments it seems like the most daunting of all. Do any of you guys have any tips? I have 24 hours to complete the exam, 30% of which is computerised, any advice guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Until we speak again, be well and take care.

Steve

Do we have enough interest to relaunch the Dorset branch? Bournemouth bookkeepers and the rest - let's see if we can generate interest for a meeting in November and I will set up and launch the group. Venue ideas welcome.

Hi Ken,

I am definitely up to meet up with anyone/everyone as long as i can fit it in time/work wise.

Happy to give a lift to anyone in the Bournemouth area depending on where meeting is of course.

Can someone suggest a venue (reasonably priced) so that I can organise a meeting in November to relauch the Dorset branch.  The meeting will be chaired by me, an evening from 7 to 9 pm, and will be based on the topic  "A bookkeeper's Path To Success" for an interactive discussion.

Ideas welcome.

I would be very interested in attending a Dorset branch meeting. I live in west Dorset so can I be cheeky and ask somewhere Poole or westward to avoid traffic. Happy with North Dorset also.  Can't help with a venue in the East, but can ask around in the Weymouth, Dorchester area if people would travel this way.

Would be great to have a local branch.

Thanks Becky.

Hi All.

I would also be interested in a Dorset branch being created but like Becky I am in West Dorset so would prefer somehwere Poole or further West if possible for eveyone but will obviosuly go with the majority vote.

Dale

Hi one and all, so, did we come up with a venue as Ken suggested for the relaunch of the Dorset branch?

Can i suggest Poole as i think this would be easy to attend for those west of Dorset, and for us on the Bournemouth side and beyond?

It would be nice to meet up in November as Ken says, if we can find a venue.

Anyway i am off to do an exam, so wish me luck.

Speak soon, take care.

I'm okay with meeting in Poole but don't know of any suitable venue there.  Not so keen on evening meetings though will go with majority.  Sorry Ken.

I am based in Alderholt, and would prefer evenings, as too busy working to take time off for meetings during the daytime.

I do however work in Poole on a Wednesday finishing at 4pm, so could meet up someone there, on occasions.

Happy New Year to you all.
