Hello all!!

Very new to this as you may tell but i could do with some help from, well, anyone.

I am struggling with the Kaplan Version of the text books and was wondering what training provider everyone is using as at the moment I am doing this all alone with the Kaplan books.

I didnt do too badly on my first attempt with the B1 mock at 80% but i significantly need to improve with better course material and support??

Any advise would be amazing!

Thanks guys

Hi Emma,

I too am going this alone and in my own time I am yet to take my first exam however i have found a useful website called www.DWMBeancounter.com. Itsa free site and has tons of useful tips and tutorials aimed at bookkeeping, they also have quizs and tests etc, just a thought,

Hi Emma

I highly recommend Ideal Schools.  I did all of my bookkeeping courses through them.  They have very supportive tutors and good materials with progress tests and assignments to help you learn.  They are very quick to respond when you need help as well as with marking work.

They also have a facebook group specifically for their students so you can ask questions on there anytime and will get support from other students, past students and the tutors.  There is also a facebook group for their students who have now gone on to set up their own businesses.  This group is amazing as everyone supports eachother.

Hope that helps

Thanks Nicky

Yep + 1 for Ideal Schools, and if I am not mistaken, they are the only training provider that does the complete ICB training course including FRS105, which I recently did with Ideal Schools and passed first time.

I would recommend Ideal Schools to anyone and everyone. They give fantastic support and get back to you really quickly if you have queries. You also have the benefit of the Facebook group to get peer support from other learners and bookkeepers in practice. I can't think of anything bad about Ideal Schools - I did all my membership exams with them and now I'm still using them for additional modules to develop my CPD. You can find them at www.idealschools.co.uk / phone 0800 028 1404 or email Brian@idealschools.co.uk. Brian sometimes let potential students have 24 access to the facebook group so that you can ask current and past students what they think.

Good Luck

I agree with the others Ive not tried any of the others but Ideal Schools have good training manuals, good support, the 2 FB groups etc.   You can go at your own pace.  If you are thinking of doing the whole lot then look at doing their 'career path'.

Regards

Liz
