Hi All

I went to book my spot on the free GDPR webinar only to find out that it was 'sold out'

Will there be another opportunity for members that missed it to either have another chance to view it or have a link to a recording?

I tried to book the webinar on the 17th, as I did not know about the 15th one, and that says fully booked too?

 Hi Valerie

Try again - they've upped the numbers so should work now.

Like wise I found this was sold out almost straight away - so frustrating when you are working when the email comes out, and miss a slot.

ICB please you provide those of us interets with a copy of the recording, as we are unable to attend due to numbers?

Thanks

Disappointing still not to be able to get booked on either session - access to the recording would be great - can this be made available for us to register for ICB?

I tried to book on the second seminar on 17th within 10 minutes of the e-mail arriving and it said sold out.  Hope more come out or we can access the recording

I emailed the ICB yesterday and they added more numbers, so I am now booked, but I believe it has sold out again since.

I dont' understand, since it is a webinar, why do they have to restrict the numbers watching?

 Hi Valerie,

Thank you for your message.

The webinar is interactive, so students and members will be able to write in their questions and our In-house Counsel, Ben Stephens-Brown, will be answering them. To ensure that the webinar runs as smoothly as possible, we are unable to add more places, as this risks the webinar slowing down, questions being missed and any other mishaps.

The recordings of the webinars will be made available on the ICB website after the event. I do hope that this clears up any confusion.

I went to join the webinar today to find out it was held yesterday.

On rechecking the email confirmation, it clearly said 18th May at 10am, so I missed it.

Contacted ICB and they apologised for the error in their confirmation, and promised to send me the recording.

Really disappointed, as I especially wanted to join the interactive version, so I could ask specific questions to my queries, that remained unsolved from the Inspire Tour last week.

Personally I think this is dreadful performance by the ICB. Something as big as this GDPR and no space available on the webinar. They are our registered body and should be supporting us and to run two webinars that sold out quicker than you can lcick the button does not, I feel, provide us with the support they should be. There is so much information about it but we have all been waiting for our Body to guide us and they have let us down. I hope that ICB are putting on daily webinars over the next week. We put our trust in them and they should deliver

The link in my email didn't even go to a valid link - it was dead Also in any case it went again to an insecure web page - there appear to be two sites running - one is secure and one is insecure - I have tried clearing my cache and my cookies - still always find myself on the insecure site and have to manually add in the https://. And fed up with being told things that are not true like the recording is on the website when it is not. Wasting a lot of time with this. Where is this recording and why the silence?

I have just phoned the ICB, to find out when the link for the webinars will be made available as I was not able to attend either event due to them being sold out  and had spoken to them last week to get a copy of the recording.  I was told it would  be this week!! I asked what day but at the moment all they can confirm is it will be this week.   I did express my disappointment and feeling lack of support on GDPR by the ICB.

Lets hope the recording is made available quickly so we can all be happy we are GDPR ready.

If you didnt get on one of the webinars and want a copy of the recording you need to ring up the ICB and they will add you to their list to be emailed when it is available

Dear All,

Thank you for your feedback regarding the GDPR webinars.

We were thrilled with the response to the webinars. ICB is delighted to bring you such vital information free of charge, especially as we note that other bodies are running non-interactive webinars for up to £199.

The webinars had to be capped at 150 spaces because the more people included, the harder it would be to interact with our In-House Counsel, Ben Stephens-Brown. I can confirm that the webinars will be available tomorrow morning, for all members with a valid Practice Licence. Please ensure that you are logged in to your MyICB to access the resources.

There is also a bundle available to purchase in the ICB Shop, which includes an 11-page document providing an overview of the GDPR Regulations. I have put the link below.

http://www.bookkeepers.org.uk/Shop/GDPR-Bundle/p/1049/

We will be accommodating the demand for future webinars.

I do hope that this clears up any confusion.
