Hi,

can an anyone help - I’m taking the 17/18 payroll exam and using sage but it is obviously setting up as at 18/19 which will make some of the dates and deductions wrong for the exam, has anyone else had this? Is there any way of changing it?

Thanks

Hi Tina

I had this problem with my instant payroll. The only way around it is speak to sage and explain to them that you are sitting a sage payroll exam with the ICB. You will have to mention that you want your payroll to be for the year 18/19 and they will send you a link by email, but be care full as my link didnt work properly, i then had sage to link up to my laptop from their end and then do all the settings and downloaded the correct year to sit the exam. I have got instant payroll but not sure how they do it if your using the cloud version hope this helps. Are you using the cloud version.

Can you not just change the processing date for say 5th April 2017 which will change the tax year to 2017/2018?
