VAT when selling secondhand tools

Hi All

I have a VAT registered client who is selling a number of secondhand tools he no longer needs.

Should he be charging VAT to his buyers?

Hi Mary,

From my understanding, yes your client should be charging VAT on all secondhand tools as this is still classed as a taxable supply.
