Happy New and Compliments of the season to everyone.

Does anyone have any Idea of the best study texts for both the online and Centre based exams for  ICB level IV?

How do I get them especially for the centre-based exam?

Hi

I spoke to ICB last week and they are currently bringing out a new syllabus.  Anyone already studying for a specific level has until 31st December 2019 to sit exams, using the current syllabus.  The new syllabus hasn't been published yet but if you keep an eye on the Study & Qualifications section on the ICB website, they will no doubt update it when it is available.  All text books are, I presume, being reprinted which is why you can't buy them currently.

Hopefully it won't be too long before the new books are available.

Hope this helps.

I sort of guessed it might be new syllabus related. Nice to be kept informed eh. As I'm hoping to complete Level 4 this year, I can only hope that any newly published text books will be enough to allow me to pass under the existing/old syllabus.

I think you would be able to sit under the new syllabus as this starts from the 1st January 2019.  The year to pass is only for students who have already started studying the existing syllabus.

I contacted ICB as I have already started self-studying Level IV but wasn't sure if I could complete it within the 12 months as, due to other business commitments I can't study over the summer period.

The suggestion was that the change of syllabus is more when subjects are covered rather than a big change in material i.e. more concentration on digital bookkeeping.

Thanks all for the reponses so far.

I bought a study text for the Computerised part of Level 4 and it is advised that you study the Level IV Manual study text before using the Computerised study text as stated that I need to study the Manual Study Text

I guess the bottomline now is that I need the Study text for the Manual part of level IV. Does anyone have a used one to spare or where can I buy one.
