Mentor or Buddy

Hi

I‘m putting the wheels in motion to start my practice, I completed ICB Level 4 last year and have since taken a year out. I’m currently studying the Payroll course whilst looking to get my practice up and running. Since having a break I’m feeling really nervous to get back into everything. I know the knowledge is still there but my nerves are getting the better of me at the moment.

I wondered if there was anyone in the same boat as me that would like to ’buddy up’ to bounce ideas off one another. Or maybe someone more experienced who wouldnt mind acting as a mentor.

I’m based in Romsey, Hampshire and it would be great to meet up for a coffee and chat with someone, or even just to exchange emails.

Hi Louise

I was in a very similar situation to you last year. I'd taken a year out and had then lost confidence with my knowledge. I opened my business last year and have been slowly getting more confident the more I do. I'd happily exchange emails with you if you'd like to chat, unfortunately I'm not local so wouldn't be able to meet up.

Hi

I recommend you attend your local branch meetings. You will find a pool of knowledge and help there! We've all been there when we set up our businesses!

The topics might not interest you initially, but it is an excellent way to network with other like minded people!

Good luck!

Hazel
