HMRC Basic PAYE program

Hi all, I am new to forums! I have been preparing my sons paye for his limited company and CIS claims (he is an owner director), as I have some knowledge of payroll, using HMRC Basic PAYE. He has grown his business and has now employed an ICB qualified bookkeeper to continue with his growing Accounts and Payroll. I was hoping someone could advise me on how to stop my program for his PAYE as the new Agent has taken his Account reference number to continue with his payroll. My program will continue to run until it is either ceased, or some other method that I do not know about and do not know how to action.

I am now studying the ICB level 2 and 3 bookkeeping so I may take on my own 'paid' clients in the future.

I would be grateful on any ideas/help with my Basic PAYE query.

Thank you.

Michelle

 Hi Michelle

I'm sure if you mention this to your son's ICB bookkeeper, they will be able to help you with the best way to handover.  It will be important for you to both work together to ensure that all submissions are made & there is no overlap, also that any year to date information is handed over

In terms of the HMRC Basic PAYE Tools, you dont need to do anything in here to notify the handover, it is simply a tool to make submissions so once the bookkeeper sends them & you dont then nothing will happen in the Basic Tools package.

It is best to keep it for a little while to ensure that all information needed is captured but in time you could delete the employer from your list by going into the employer details & following the link at the bottom of the page "Delete Employer"

Hope this helps & good luck with your studies

Lisa
