Hi all,

I have my first potential bookkeeping client via a referral from a friend, it is 5 to 10 hours per month. I currently have a Accounts Admin post part time, so this would be a way to try put self employment! The business currently completes all their bookkeeping via Excel, I don't have Excel on my PC, any advice on how to purchase Excel, I don't need the other parts of Microsoft Office

Thanks

Hi Caroline

I Googled Microsoft Excel & found that you can use it online for free - type office.com into your browser. I pay £79.99 per year for Microsoft 365 as I use most of the package.

Good luck!

There are free office suites available, WPS office and Libre office or even google docs which are compatible with Microsoft office

The free version of Excel on office.com has limited functionality,  If you purchased from Microsoft you can pay per month or per year.
