I run a payroll for a company and one of their  staff went to work for another employer whist on flexi furlough , ie had two jobs at one time and has come back to me with  a P45 from the "old employer" showing BR pay deducted  .

The question is do I add the P45 to my payroll and thus get his tax and pay correct as far as HMRC are concenred , even though he has been with the orignal employment all the time ?  Or do I leave it to HMRC to sort out as technically not a new employee ?

 Hi

If it covers pay for the current tax year I would add it to the payroll. If it is pre 5th April 2021 leave it for the tax office to deal with.
