Hi.  I am about to start acting as an agent to complete and submit self assessment forms for a handful of individual clients, and wondered if there are any particular recommendations out of all of the various pieces of software offered that are HMRC compatible.  Quite a few to choose from, but any thoughts or tips?

Many thanks

Hi Amanda, I gave Nomi a try for a while; I loved the interface and support but one thing led me to such frustration that I had had to cancel my subscription and that was their billing structure. I tried to keep on top of how they were invoicing me each month whcih was impossible and they contradicted themselves on several occasions. It is completely non-transparent. I am completing submissions this year using the old style HMRC software then moving to Tax Calc for 2025-26. I have used this before and it is much more professional. It is quite expensive but I can just about cover my submissions using the non-unlimited package and putting a couple through HHMRC directly, while I still can, and of course through the client's software where I can, though sometimes there are still limitations with these. Hope that helps, Vanessa :-)
