Leeds Meeting - February

Hello
Am not sure if anyone can actually this yet but I am thinking of setting up a general netwrokign meeting for February sometime in Leeds. The main aim would just be general information sharing on the premis of 'bring a problem and we'll help to find a solution'. Problems do need to relate to bookkeeping although I'm sure there will be a few other things we can collectively help with!

If you are interested in coming along then please reply to this thread or email me directly - alexsmith'at'book-keepingleed.com

The meeting will need to be on a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon between about 2pm and 4pm, so do aslo please let me know which of these times is best for you.

many thanks!

Alex

Hi Alex, Happy New Year!
I can see your invite and would love to attend.  I can't make Thursdays though.  Hope to see you soon,

Hello,

Not sure if I am too late here but hope not!  I would be very interested and could normally always do a Thursday.  Can only do Tuesdays currently between 10 - 2.  Maybe the meetings could alternate dependent on the regularity?

Hi Alex,

I too would also be interested, I'm recently qualified and could do with getting to know some other bookkeepers! I can do either.

Hi again
Sorry to have dropped off the radar a bit.
I'd like to suggest Thursday 24th March as a possible date to have a regional get together between 3pm and 5pm. I don't have a venue at present but it will be somewhere in Leeds City Centre close to the station where we can drink coffee and catch up in comfort and quiet. The Queens Hotel Lounge is a strong contender! The theme will be 'bring along a problem, large or small'! If you have a problem you can tell me about first (!) we can draw up a list and get some pre-meeting thinking done between us.
If you can let me know if those on this forum are interested and up for it and if I get repsonse I will ask ICB to post on the general site too.

Thanks
Alex

Hi,
I am also interested in meeting other members in the region and having a regular get together if there is sufficient interest. I am out of the UK until mid March but latter part of the month would be fine for me since I can otherwise be fairly flexible on date, time and venue,

Hello Alex,
It would be great to meet up again.  I have put the date in my diary, and hope there will be plenty of interest to make it a success.
Regards

Hi Alex,

Just wondering if its okay for students to come along.  I live in Bradford but work in Leeds quite frequently and could make meetings.

Hi All

Thanks for all replies. I've had a few emails too so we will make this a firm date and apologies to those who can't make this one:

24th March 3pm - 5pm. I will confirm the venue nearer the time but as I say, central Leeds best bet for transport.

I don't see why students can't come along - the more the merrier!

I will ask ICB to post on the main events site so if those that are coming can also put their names on their that owuld be very helpful.

Thanks!

Hi Folks

Just a reminder about the informal get together on Thursday 24th at the Queens Hotel, Leeds in the lounge bar, between 3pm and 5pm.

If you are coming, please book in through the ICB events page so I can get a rough idea of who we are expecting.

Don't forget to bring a burning question and your thinking caps!

Best wishes

Alex

This might be a bit late in the day but i have just realised that those coming along to the meeting today may not recognise their fellow bookkeepers - can I suggest we all carry our calculators so we know who we are!!!

Hi Alex
I had booked to come today and meet everyone but my daughter is poorly unfortunately, drop me a line and let me know how everyone one got on and give me a little insight into what happens in these meetings and hopefully might be able to make the next one.
