ICB members are committed to professional excellence, robust ethical standards, and compliance with the professional & technical standards required of bookkeepers by law and by ICB.
All members agree to follow the ICB Professional Conduct Regulations. These set out the principles of ethical behaviour, outline members’ responsibilities to ICB, and must be read and followed at all times.
The regulations also explain what constitutes misconduct, the responsibilities of members in practice, and the processes for resignation and disciplinary action. Above all, they offer clear guidance to support members in upholding their integrity and professionalism.
If you’re a member or a member of the public with a question about the Professional Conduct Regulations or anything related to ICB’s professional standards, please contact us at: professional.standards@bookkeepers.org.uk
