Hi,
I am advised I need to do level II computerised exam in order to show that I am competent with a computer software package.  I am going to use Fusion Accounts to do the exam, I have not downloaded Fusion Accounts software as of yet as I want to order my full exam papers to be sent out to me for next Friday 6th May 2011 first; I am planning on downloading the Fusion Accounts next Tuesday/Wednesday so that I don't waste two month free usage of the software!!

My problem is that last week, ICB online shop gave me an option to book the computerised exam but not now, the only full examination paper I can see is Level I Certificate in Basic Bookkeeping!!  Would anyone know why? Do I have to do the level II mock exam first or something?
A
rgh, can somebody help me please?!?!?

Thank you,
Lisa

Hi Lisa

Everyone has to take the Level I paper first and as you work through them new ones will become available to you.

If you go to the home page and read through the 'Membership' section it should explain it all for you there. The 'Examination/Examination Processin Detail' breaks the exam process down for you as well.

Hope this helps.

Hi Lisa,

Just to add to Vik's advise

  1. You need to read ICB membership and examination process through
  2. Exams are taken in order. I also suggest you take manual 2 exam before sitting the computerised
  3. To book the exam, i suggest you call instead of trying to book online.
  4. Mock exam is helpful for both manual and computerised as after completing it you will know what the institute is expecting you to produce.
Hope all this help!

All the best,

Hi,

Thank you, Vic and Nathalie for your advices.

I should have pointed out; I am already a qualified bookkeeper, a full member with the institute, I have already done the manual examinations for levels I, II and III.

According to the Institute’s “New Membership Structure” I need to prove my competent with using an accounting software package and they have strongly advised me to apply for the Level II Certificate in Computerised Bookkeeping of which I am trying to book.

I will do what you have suggested Nathalie, order the exam via phone.

Thank you once again to both of you for your supports in this matter.

I hope I can return a favour and help you with your future queries… If you have any, of course!

Lisa
