Level 2 Manual Exam

Hi all

I've got my exam in a couple of weeks and I've all of a sudden went into panic mode!  I haven't taken an exam in years and my mind always seems to go a total blank the minute I walk into the room.  I keep looking at the level 2 work from Ideal Schools and thinking how will I remember it all.

Has anyone got any words of encouragement/advice/tips to help me get through this.

Thanks

Kirsty

Hi Kirsty,

Please don't panic. Once you have completed all your assignments, the manual styled past paper, and the online practice paper, you'll see that all the various topics fit into place quite easily.

Remember, we arealways on hand to lend any help and advice when required.

Chin up!!

Kind regards

Thanks Brian!  You guys are great, going to go back over the study material this weekend.  Just desperate to get it out the way so I can move forward and hopefully set up on my own Smile

Hello Kirsty

You'll be fine - I studied with Ideal - they completely overprepare you so that when you go into the exam, you will be wondering what the fuss was about!!

Good luck and let us know how you get on

Kind regards

One good thing about the exam at a centre rather than a written exam is in a lot of the cases the answer is there in front of you, you just have to choose it. It's a bit like "Who wants to be a millionaire" in some respects in that you can look at the answers and say that one is definitely wrong so it might be that one or that one (50/50). There are usually people in doing their driving theory test so that's your "ask the audience". "Phone a friend" - unfortunately they take your mobile off you before you go in.

Hi Kaybee

I was the same as I also hadn't taken an exam in years, panic was an understatement! I took an online mock which helped me as it made me realise how much I did know without the books and I found this very calming. I  then just kept practicing all the small tests and assessments in my training and re did the mock exam they had sent to me. It paid off I got a distinction.

Just have faith in your ability you CAN do it.

Haha I like it.  Just as long as they don't ask me for help wioth their driving theory as it's been even longer since I sat my test and the theory test wasn't even invented ; )

Thanks for the replies all.  Feeling a bit more relaxed about it and am going to just work my way through the course again and do a couple of mock exams.  I'll keep you all updated.

Hi Kirsty

I am also studying the Manual Level 2 exam with Ideal schools.  I have my exam next week and was really worried.  However I did the online mock exam yesterday and that really helps you understand what is expected.

At first I thought "this is too easy", then double checked my answers and realised the multiple choices had lead me astray and I had some of the answers wrong!  I still managed a pass with distinction though.  I strongly recommend that you take the mock and it will show you were you are in your preparations.  I am also on the ICB Career Path and the cost of the online mock was covered by ideal Schools for me so it could well be for you too.

Good luck on 24th - I am sure you will breeze through the exam!

Thanks KLA, I have spent the weekend going over my notes and am planning on taking the online mock exam in a day or two.

Good luck for your exam too.

Hi Kirsty

I passed!!  Now to wait for the report.

Kirsty if you do the online mock you will have a very good understanding of what will be required in the exam.

Hmm....now for level 3.......

All the best on 24th Kirsty.

I'm concentrating on the computerised stuff at the moment, just have 2 assignments and then my final to do (must be done by Sept).  Then cracking on with the diploma and payroll.

How are you getting on with your studies?  Congratulations on getting your practice licence, I've just sent off for mine.

Kirsty
