Hi,

I know I have to wait up to 30 days for results, but just wondered how long did you have to wait for yours?

Thanks,
Aleksandra

Hi Aleksandra,
I am in the same boat, waiting for the results.  So i am interested in how long people waited. With so many reports/print outs to check no wonder it takes a while. I am working on the next stage to take my mind of waiting.

Wishing you a speedy and good result.

I have recently waited for these results - mine arrived after 3 weeks. Hope this helps Smile

Mine was about 3 weeks too, with 3 bank holidays in that period.  Keep watching your results status in your members area - I'd checked mine 2 or 3 times on the day I got the results and suddenly they were there!  Good luck to you both.

Hi Debsie,

I check mine at least twice a day :)
I was confident when I sent them off and now when days go by I start to be more and more unsure that I'll pass... well I can't do nothing but wait now.

Hi Clare,

Are you happy with your exam result?

hi Aleksandra,

I was very happy with my result, but like you, the longer i waited the more convinced I was that I had failed! I'm sure you'll get a good result too.

What are you planning to do after this exam?

If I'll be lucky enough to pass :) my next step is upgrading to associate member, then practise licence, PII etc. and will try to pass manual exam by September of course ...

What are your plans Clair? What part of the country do you live?

Hi nckbooks,

I have heard good things about Arithmo....haven't tried it myself so can't give an opinion, but might be worth a look.

Hi Pauline,

Thanks Pauline for your feedback on Arithmo.

I heard of Arithmo and in my opinion it is not the most cost effective package. There are few features i am looking for  such as importing bank statements, recurring invoices/journals etc
If i am correct Arithmo does not offer bank statements imports. Well may be I am being too demanding!

I am going to trial clearbooks and will be posting my feedbacks. A member has trialled Accountsportal and it has been rated as excellent in terms reports extracted.

What software did you use to pass your exam? is it Sage? I am interested in Online accounting package and am collecting as much information/feedback I can.Wink

Thanks again and have a good week,

Hi Nathalie,

Yes I used Sage.  I got a complete working copy of Instant from my training provider as part of the course.  I'm doing payroll at the moment and hopefully when I've passed that I am going on to do the Level III and computerised Level III.

Hi Pauline you are the same as me. I got a copy of SAGE  instant as part of my course. I went on the HMRC workshop today on becoming an employer which helped with the Payroll stuff.

Hi,

I used Sage Instant which I got from my course provided. But have a look at Solar Accounts.

To Clare - I got the certificate today and upgrated my membership already. Next step a practice licence :)

Hi Aleksandra,

Have you taken the Level II manual yet?  Don't forget that come September you will need that as well as the computerised Level II.  :-)

Hi Pauline,

No, I haven't. That's my very next step after the Practice Licence.
My plan was to take the manual first, then computerized and then apply for the Practice Licence, but I've already found myself a first client so I had to rushed things up as they don't want to wait too long.

Well, that's me posted off my exam this afternoon. Was on the ICB website tonight and it hasn't been marked yet, I guess I'll have to wait a little longer.

It was on the website this afternoon around 1pm they had received the paper but as of 11pm tonight it hasn't been marked.
Sensible people would wait a fortnight before looking. And if it was marked quicker they'd get an email anyway. I know it won't be marked in the next fortnight but it won't stop me looking every morning and every night - just in case the email went astray.

Ha, ha, ha

Yes, I was exactly the same :)

For those 3 weeks I so got used to checking the ICB website for the result, that when it actually appeared there I didn't even notice it at first...
