Exam problems

There have been a number of postings on the forum in various sections about the exams and problems with the exam  environment etc.

I was doing some research this afternoon and came across a forum for another similar organisation and couldn't resist letting everyone see this posting. Hopefully everyone will say that the ICB way is not so bad after all.

Yesterday i sat this exam!, I got there in plenty of time. I was in a room with about 10 other people sitting a level 4 exam. We were due to start at 2pm, however the vigilator only had one passcode for one of students, so the rest had to wait til 3pm to start there exam. I started my exam just after 2pm only to find out that the computer didnt have Sage on it!. I then had to wait til nearly 3pm for this to be put on the computer. In the meantime the other students were walking in and out of the room due to the fact that most of them had to call there childcare providers as they were going to be late.

Anyway continued through the exam, then got to the end where it asks you to move a report into Excel. I couldnt find anywhere how to do this as in the Kaplan book it states go to file and there is a Office Integration tab and then pick up Excel, however on the version i was using there wasnt this option. I asked my trainer two weeks ago to explain how to do this and the reply was the same as whats in the book other then that she didnt know and would get back to me!. ..Still waiting!.
Hense i couldnt print off the report and so have probably failed!. Whats the point in printing the instructions in te workbook, if they are not true!.
Yet ANOTHER disappointing exam by my provider...

Another good example would be the problems the aat have had this year with their online tests. I sat the level 3 this year and had problems with 2 of my exams. The first one froze in the middle of it, which is fine as the invigilator can pause your exam whilst you reboot the computer, then unpause you when its all back up, however lots of your answers will have disappeared and youll have to reenter them which is so frustrating. But worst was the second exam i had problems with, it didnt freeze until the last page of questions after i had completed the whole exam, so i thought 'ah well, ive finished anyway, ill just submit it' and failed. I may well have just failed anyway (seriously doubt it) but the aat had this problem up and down the country, i didnt get a decent response from the aat regarding this issue until 27 june, my course ended 30 june so i currently have no aat qualifications, i have to wait till the end of august now to take the exam again and finally get my certificate.
