I'm trialing Quickbooks Online. I often need to enter a receipt which includes an expense deduction. How do I do this so the correct figures end up in Output and Input VAT? It seams to be entering the nett amount in Output VAT only. ie Cheque is £1000 Sale £1200 (inc £200 Output VAT) less Expense (commission and market charges) £200 (inc Input VAT£33.33) VAT return show £166.67 in Output VAT for this transaction which is wrong - Help - or is the only solution to manually correct the return on paper before sending? Help!
