What next?

Ok, so I have passed Level 1 Manual and am currently waiting for my results of Level 2 Computerised.
The plan is that ultimately I would like to work for myself doing Sole Traders books but I am a little confused as to what happens now. I was told I would be able to do this upon completing the above courses (hopefully Level 2 will be a pass also!) but now I understand you may have to do Level 2 Manual as well?
I understand I would need to upgrade my membership, get a Practice Licence and Indemnity Insurance so I'm just wondering what else I need to do to get to that stage.

You will need to complete the ICB Level 2 Manual Book-keeping course and then you will be able to get your membership (AICB) and your practice licence, insurance and then complete books for sole traders.

The ICB changed the membership status which comes into force in September this year so you now need to complete both the manual and computerised exams for the level 2 courses to qualify for AICB status.

Hope this helps.

That's great, thank you Lesley. I wasn't sure if it all had to be done before September but if it has to be done anyway then there's no rush :-)
