Hi

I have jsut acquired my first client, (yippee Laughing),he wants his books done in Excel so they can be uploaded to Google Docs, then we can both access at the same time, for discussion etc. Does anyone have or know of a  good Excel Spreadsheet Template I can get my hands on please?

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi Carrie

Not sure if you ever managed to get this question answered but I'd make a couple of comments - one is what your requirements actually are from the template? A lot of the templates I use have grown over time to become personal to each client and so a template I could provide for you would be useless for your clients who do not have the same requirements as mine.

And also, if you did receive templates I'd be interested to see them to compare them with my own! I'm always keen to learn how other people do things in case I'm missing a trick.

Many thanks
Clare

I create my own files in Excel and link them together adding tabs to some files as necessary. Because the files are linked together I need to open them together so use a saved workspace file for that. I could have them all in the one Excel file but don't want the file getting too bloated. And if it became too complex I would be doing it in VT Transaction + anyway. I don't think my file would work in Google docs as it isn't just the one file.

Hello,

I'm currently trying to come up with a base spreadsheet template to use for small clients (I agree with Clare that they will probably be modified for each clients requirment, but I want a base to start from), but at the moment I'm not really sure where to start.  I would be very greatful if any of you would be willing to share some for of your template, that I can then base my own on.  I would then return the favure and share my templates once I've got something put together.

Thanks
Torben
