Hi everyone,At what point in your qualifications/membership with the ICB can you call yourself a "Certified" Bookkeeper?Pauline
I'm guessing that for the next 6 or 7 weeks it's when you've passed either level III manual or computerised. After 30th September it will be when you've passed both.http://www.bookkeepers.org.uk/Examinations/Membership%20by%20Examination
Thanks Peasie, I have a little way to go yet then until I can be "Certifiable"...lol Taking the Payroll Diploma next.Pauline
Hi Pauline, You will need to pass both of the Level 3 Manual and Computerised exams before you can use the title "Certified Bookkeeper".Edited at 08 Aug 2011 02:25 PM GMT
Many thanks Lady M :-)Pauline
Yes James, very pernickety....lol I did actually assume that you had to upgrade to Member before you could call yourself Certified, not just pass the exams :-)PaulineEdited at 09 Aug 2011 01:44 PM GMT

“Hi Guys,Just to be pinickerty it is actually the membership level of Full Member (MICB) that gets you that title, not just the passing of examinations (as you can become MICB without doing those examinations if you get exemptions).”
It will more likely only be a few days than a few weeks. I sit my manual exam on the 23rd August so I'm not going to complicate things by ordering the computerised exam until I have that one passed (hopefully on the 23rd). So even if I get the computerised ordered and sent out on the Friday it will likely be Monday 29th August before I receive the exam. If I then get the exam done quickly and returned by the Friday it will be Monday 5th September before the ICB receive it. Say allowing for another 3 weeks to get it marked and we're at the 26th September. So it will only be 4 days.Maybe I'd be better spending my time studying gearing and other ratios than calculating how many days I could have CB Dip after my name.
