Hi All,I have recently passed my Level 3 Self Assessment Tax exam, I was wondering if any of you out there are using any software to compute the tax for your clients and which are the best?
Congratulations on passing the exam. While I was doing my exam about a year ago I found a spreadsheet from some company for calculating the tax and national insurance. I never paid for this and was only evaluating it at the time - you couldn't actually submit the return until you paid to unlock that part of the spreadsheet. I have no idea where I got this and having looked through the spreadsheet cannot find any idea of where it was from. I wish I was able to find that again for the 2011-11 year. One piece of software I keep reading of people raving about is by Andica.http://www.andica.com/andica_self_assessment_software.html
Thanks Peasie, I has a look at the website and the software does look good and not too expensive either (well, compared to Sage Line 50!)Thanks again
hiya I have used Andica in the past and found it very straight forward. I now use PTP.RegardsAngie

Another fan of Andica here. Only drawback (tiny problem) is that when it prints off the tax return it doesn't print it off in the same format as the HMRC paperwork.
This is my first reply to a topic - so Hello! I use Taxcalc and find it very easy to use and the print outs are exactly the same as the paper returns. Good luck with whatever you choose.
