Hourly rates and Bookkeeping charges - South East

Hi I live in Hertfordshire and doing some market research on the going rate of bookkeepers in this area so that I can establish my own rates to charge.  I recently did an ad-hoc day with a client to help tidy up her accounts I am thinking this could be charged as a consultancy fee rather than an hourly rate in furture.

What do you charge for bookkeeping and is it always an hourly rate?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi thanks for responding I have spoken to James from member services and I am in process of applying for a practice license Smile as I now realise I need this first and foremost to being able to practice legally.  He has also given me an idea of what I can charge.

If I need any help I will be sure to contact you.
