Two steps closer

I've booked my Computerised Bookkeeping Level III exam for this Friday and I got my business cards from the printers this afternoon - so I am a couple of steps closer to stepping out into the big bad world of business. Next step will be get my website details filled in. I have the website - just haven't got round to putting in details. Not too good with words.

One good thing about getting cards approved by the ICB - it makes it easier to say no to mistakes the printer makes. They thought the card I left them on a cd was for me to give them the details and they would design a card for me. No. I spent time getting the card the way I liked it. I even told them I'd been to Vistaprint but couldn't get the card the way I wanted it. They seemed a bit surprised I didn't even want to take the wrong cards away for free. I told them "I don't like the look of them, they're not what I wanted so they're no use to me". Had it not for been for the approval thing I'd probably just have accepted them. A flaw in my character I suppose.

Then it will be putting an advert in the local paper for a couple of month. Maybe  getting some postcards printed for shop windows. Might even see if there are any spaces in the Post Office displays - usually all the spaces are taken though.
