Hi

Any tips from bookkeepers that have set up their own Bookkeeping Business.

Any do's and dont's that i should be aware of?

Hello,

When I first set up my business in 2004, I did mailshots to local accountants and that worked somewhat.  I also made sure friends and neighbours knew what I was doing so they could suggest me to anyone they knew of.  At the time I belong to an online parenting forum and they had a work at home section, so I posted on there as well.

Pretty much all of my business has come from referrals and word of mouth.
