Sage Query

Think I put this question in the wrong section earlier.

Could someone advise where the report is on sage for " An employee that works different hours each week and would therefore have a different income.

It is part of the payroll course but I can not seem to find the correct report. I think the version I have is V10 but not 100% sure.

Hi Michelle

Try looking in the employee record under the History TAB.

Kind regards

Hello,

At first I would like to thank you all for being here :)

I'm doing my Payroll Management Diploma (just finished course and mock) and I'm a little bit confuse as I cannot find Employee Details report that I am asked to print in the mock exam. I can see many employee detailed reports such as payments, salary, personal, cumulative etc. but there is no overall employee details report that I am asked for.
I use Sage 50 Payroll Professional software.

Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong or if there is no report like that what I should to print instead?
I am afraid that it will be requested at the time of the exam to print this or similar report and I will fail in this point.

Kind regards,
Roza

For employee details go to Employees click on Maintain Existing Employees click Print Details.  You can print individual employee details or all employee details.

Hi Roza

I had the same difficulty when I did my payroll exam last month - the report doesn't exist on Sage. I'm not at my home office today, so I can't tell you exactly what report I printed instead. But I will say that I lost 5% marks on the exam somewhere, and I'm certain everything else was 100% correct.  I did my coursework on Sage so obviously still wanted to use it for the exam.

Did anyone else have the same experience with Sage payroll?

Hi,
The true is that the report doesn't exist on Sage and I think it is not fair if they put the mark down because of that. Not everybody is using Sage Instant and some courses providers provide Sage. That is technical issue and one of the things that don’t depend from us.

My tutor when asked about the report replied that any employee detail report showing the tax code, salary or wages should be fine but this is not true. When I booked my exam I asked about that and the answer was to print as many reports as needed to show the information from sample, so I did.
I still have no results so I don't know how it was marked, however I know that I didn't find on Sage one of the information from the sample report.

Best regards,

Roza

Hiya,

Are there any further updates on this? - if the report given in the mock answers is not available, which reports are the correct ones to print? I have spent ages fiddling with this and have well and truly had enough now!

not looking forward to this exam....

I am having the same problem.  The employee details report that I have been printing out during my course and the one with the mock are completely different.  I have also searched all through Sage 50 and can't find the example that came with the mock.

If anyone knows what is acceptable to print out please advise.

Thanks

Hi Sarah

Thanks for the reply but that is how I normally get my reports but the employee details report which comes with the mock isn't among the reports.
