Apologies if I sound really stupid here but I have gotten myself confused when calculating discounts and settlements.
Obviously trade discounts are acted upon the trade price of the goods before VAT is calculated, but does this also apply if there are goods and services provided on the same invoice.
e.g If I paid £100 for car parts PLUS £100 for labour costs, would a 10% trade discount only apply to the parts or both?
I might be sounding really thick here but any help would be greatly appreciated.
