I was hoping someone could help.

I have been approached by a potential client do their year end account preparation, and was wondering if anyohne had any advice on how much to charge or how they calculate the amount to charge

I don't want to overcharge as I need the business, currently my practice is a bit short on clients but I do not want undercharge.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Alpesh

This is a bit of a how long is a piece of string question.  Unfortunately you haven't really provided much information.  Is this all you know about the job?  What is the clients status?  How are their records?  What size of business?

I think to help in this case more information is required.  Do you offer hourly or fixed fee services?

Dear Alpesh

You need to do your homework matey. You need to contact several other local bookkeepers and find out how much they charge when you know this you should have a good idea of what you can charge in your area.

Also when doing this try to guage the level of experience they have as theis will also effect the charge rate.

Most of all make sure you are happy with what you are being paid. As long as your expectations are realistic

Kind regards
Stuart
