Taking a holiday during redundancy notice period

Hi All,


If someone was given a notice period of redundancy of one month just before taking their holidays of 2 weeks, what pay are they entitled to?

Is it 1 months notice + holiday pay or is it 2 weeks holiday pay + the rest of the month? 


Worked for company less than 2 years full time.

Hi Lady M

As they have worked for their employer for less than 2 years no redundancy money is payable.

You just need to calculate their final salary as you would any other leaver.

i.e. work out their full holiday entitlement upto their final day deduct any and all holiday taken including the holiday taken ion the notice period and either add the remaining days or deduct any additoinal days from their final salary.
