I have bought the 'Associates Package' from Kaplan which includes a couple of manuals and a book of questions (and sage software). But I would like to buy a book to go with my Level 1 and 2 manual bookkeeping studies.

Can anyone recommend a book/ books that will complement my studies?

Hi there,

I would recommend that you buy 'Business Accounts 1' by Frank Wood and Alan Sangster.  My students find this book invaluable for their level 1 and 2 studies.

I would recommend 'Business Accounts' by David Cox, published by Osborne Books.  It also covers Level III and has worked examples and exercises.  I still use it for reference today.

I had zero idea about bookkeeping. after reading 'Practical Bookkeeping(Beginner/Intermediate)' of Kaplan, i am quite confident to sit for level 1 & 2 (manual).
