Printing costs/environmental impact

Hi all

I've read a few threads recently about printing things e.g. invoices/MLR forms etc.

Personally my office is virtually paperless (or as much as it can be) and I save everything in electronic format in well organised folders normally in pdf format.

Just wondering if I'm unusual in this, as I would seem to be from reading others threads! I actively market myself as being environmentally friendly and have found this to be a unique selling point when I see potential new clients. It may not make much difference to them on a day to day basis but if they see 2 or 3 bookkeepers and can't choose between them then it can give me the edge.

Obviously I then have to back this up and not send them acres of paper (which I wouldn't anyway) and indeed in some ways it works exceptionally well as I only rarely visit established clients (particularly those who are a long way away - I specialise in a particular niche area which gets me clients from all areas of the UK) and my office is a peaceful haven rather than a paper minefield!!

Just looking for others opinions really and how you guys do things...
