It was about this time last year that I got my practice licence. I had a potential client contact me so applied for it just in case and took them on about 6 weeks later and really enjoyed it so decided to start looking for other clients after christmas. I applied for a couple of vacancies locally which I found on the ICB job vacancy page and got all 3 and started in January this year. In February I got another client and then over the following months a few more, and in the last month another 4 and now I have 15. I haven't done any advertising apart from having a website which I'm in the middle of updating. I started going to a network event in April once a month, whilst I haven't picked up any clients yet from it (it's free to attend), its fun and I'm getting to know other business owners and its giving me more confidence.
I have young children so manage to fit it in around them and have recently turned clients away! The clients who have come to me directly have all told me that they found my website.

Hi,

You post is reassuring to me. I have just started my practice on the 1st Sept and am anxiously waiting for my level II computerised result.

It's pleasing to know that like you (hopefully) I will get clients and can fit work around my children.

Thanks for sharing and well done!!
