After I have passed the level 1 and level 2 exam..

Hi all,

Thought I would ask the experts of the forum, I have passed level 1 book keeping the manual book keeping qualification and have submitted level 2 computerised book keeping,  I was under the impression with a distance learning college that once I pass these two exams and do a SAGE competancy exam that I would be able to use the letters AICB...

After reading this website though I think this is no longer the case?

What is needed to obtain the AICB?

Kind regard

I started a reply and mis-read your post so have to re-do my answer.

You do not need to do any Sage competency exam to achieve AICB status.

Having read the post another time - have you done the ICB Manual Bookkeeping Level II exam? This is now required to achieve AICB status.

Before 30th September 2011 you could achieve AICB status by passing the Level II computerised exam OR by passing the Level II manual bookkeeping exam. After 30th September you need to pass both exams.

Sage competency exams do not come into things with regard to ICB - it's just that's what most of the Learning Providers choose to teach students on. You can use other software to sit the ICB exam.
