Well I took the plunge and now have my practice license and PII in place, just wating for ICB to reply with a note of my practice number and if I am covered for CIS returns etc. and then will order stationery.
Now I just need suggestions as to where the best palce will be to advertise, I will do the usual adverts in newsagents and the local roll shop which all the 'white van men' go in the morning.
I am also listed onpeopleperhour.com, anyother suggestons greatly received.

I signed up to freeindex.co.uk and this really boosted my google listings. I get most of my work through my website, so I have found it very useful to go onto all the free directory sites, like yell, bt directories, thomson, 192.com etc. They all seem to feed off eachother too, so you'll notice that the other sites will eventually get your details anyway, but spend some time plugging your details in to loads of them, just to get your name out there. A lot of these sites allow you to put your website address in as a link on your listing.

Mine has not phsically arrived yet. I will post on here when it arrives. I would chase it up though if I were you.

Hi, I am on the same boat! Mine is now overdue and rang ICB this morning.
Was told they are experiencing high volume of licence to process. This a bit of info I had already been aware of.
Hopefully someone will call!

To Joanne,
I finally received a call from the lady in charge of processing licenses. She needed some clarification as to my practice name. I should now be getting my documents by post in next few days. My practice is now listed.
I suggest you check if you are listed on the website. You should be getting a response in few days.

I applied for my Practice Licence on 2 October, it was quickly put on the site and I received my certificate and MLR folder today. I understood from this forum that the Certificate was sealed (which is why it took so long) but mine is the same as the exam certificates but, as it only dated for a year, I don't mind that. I commend the ICB on how quickly the mark and send exam certificates, when compared with other exam boards this is an excellent service. I now need some clients so I can make use of my Practice License.

I received my practice licence and MLR folder today also.
