Thanks you lovely lot,
Denise.

Process stages for a Practice Licence?

Just log i to this forum each day (or hour depending on your patience) and when Practice Licence appears under your name you will have a Practice Licence. The physical sheet of paper may take some time to arrive so just phone up the ICB and ask them for your number. You will be able to use the number anywhere it is needed before you receive the actual Licence.

As for finding out the errors - I doubt these will be available. There will be a logical reason for them not letting you know. As you got 95% just tell yourself the 5% lost was on the written part of the exam.

James @ ICBsaid:

"The above normally done same day form is received. The certificate takes about 3-4 weeks.”

Apparently the ICB is very busy at the moment, I have been waiting since 3 October for mine.  I have been told it might be next week. Compared with other organisations exam results and certificates are really fast, even if it does not seem like it!

I have my first advert in the paper etc and I am studying Self-Assessment, so plenty to do.  Really happy with the service I have from the ICB, just wish they didn't plug the Bookkeepers Summit so much and realised that some of us would love to go but London is just not possible.

Hi Sylvia, how long did it take before you could see that they had granted you a practice licence?

Totally agree with the summit plugging, i live in the north east of Scotland and would love to go too but with 3 children and that sort of distance it'ss pretty impossible for me, maybe there will be some over the boarder that I may manage to attend.

Good luck with your advert, can't wait to get started too.

Denise,

They were very quick, I think a matter of days, before it said that I had a practice licence and was able to be listed on the ICB website.  I got my number by emailing the ICB.

Good luck

Sylvia thank you for your reply, after checking 1/2hourly daily I've just got my Practice Licence - YIPPEE !!

James, I believe it could take up to 28 days to receive my MLR information and really don't want to wait that long before advertising, will I get all I need to know to get started in the Practice Licence Area?

Thanks again, Denise.

Hi

There hopefully will be a big event in March 2012 in Scotland after the silly weather.  We are in the process of organising it.  I will keep you informed when I have more details.
