What software can I use?

Hello everyone.

I currently use a verson of SAGE Instant accounts which I find very usefull for the samm business that my business is aimed at.

However there is no facility with SAGE to have it as a multi company licence without paying an absolute fortune.

Am I safe using it and restoring clients backups each time I work on the accounts or would I be in serious breach of the contract.

What does everyone else do to avoid costly software expenses.

Many Thanks

Yes.
There are cheaper alternatives. VT Transaction Plus for one. I think there is a thread on here about "Quickbooks" being cheap on Amazon just now.

I agree with Peasie, VT Transaction+ is a great piece of software, and so cheap.  I wouldn't really think about using Sage.  I find the costs are crazy high for what the package is.  There are loads of other packages out there just as good if not better and much cheaper.

Hi Aaron

There are many good packages use can use.    I just letting you know the following as you mentioned sage.

There has been a lot of groundwork been done  with ICB and sage at the moment

In relation to sage can I direct you to the sage posts in software in relation to costs and Andy Gibb .  You can  have client manager which is multi company licence with out costing a fortune.

Sage have agreed the prices been quoted to ICB members  have been wrong .  See the also the Thread for Sage  update on going discussions 28th November 2011.   All well at the Question for S Douglas and the Cost of sage

We would very much appreciated if you could respond re this post , as this is the very thing we are trying to resolve with Sage at the moment.
