Practice Licence - Not Trading - Still need to submit MLR8?

A year ago I applied for my Practice Licence and PII, but have been too busy in my role as an employed bookkeeper to look for any clients. 2012 will include the resolution to do more on building up my bookkeeping business.

My question at this stage is: As I have not been practising and have no clients, do I still need to complete the MLR8 form as part of the Practice Licence renewal? I'm assuming it does need to be completed, even if it only contains my details on the front page, no details for the client pages and then just my name on the last 'employee' page.

If anyone can throw a little light on this, that would be appreciated. My Practice Licence renewal is imminent.

Thanks,
GrahamG

Hi Graham

I asked a similar question back in Sept, when my practice licence was due for renewal.

The answer I got was 'yes' - all I had to do was on the section that contains client details, just put 'No Clients'

This was accepted and my licence was renewed.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks David. Will follow the same course of action.
