Starting Up - Sage or Quickbooks

Hi Everyone

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. I'm just about to apply for my practice licence as I've just sent off the last level 3 exam. I'm thinking I really need to buy some software of my own and I'm torn between Quickbooks or Sage. I completed all my level 2 and 3 computerised exams on Sage 50 so I have a bit of experience of using it where as I have never used Quickbooks but it does seem a lot cheaper. Can anyone advise of the best software and where I can get a good deal on purchasing it please? I'm thinking of working from home and hopefully will establish 4 or 5 clients eventually as I work full-time elsewhere.

Thanks

Hazel

Hello Hazel,

You might want to check the post below about 'Business Accountz software', another option to consider.

Cheers & a Happy New Year,

Hi Hazel,
Maybe you should consider waiting until you have a client base. To start with it's most likely all you'll need is spreadsheets. Most established businesses will already be using commercial software. It's more a case of are you proficient with a potential client's software than supplying software yourself.
Save your money for the sales!!
Kind Regards
Tim
