Sage 50 Year end - viewing transactions into the next year

I can't believe I'm asking this question.

I have passed the ICB computerised exam level III (using Sage Instants). I have passed the Sage 50 exams Stages 1 and 2.

But I haven't a clue how to view transactions that are into the next financial year. I do not wish to perform a year end procedure at the moment. I just can't figure out how to view these transactions. I can enter them easy enough - it does give me a warning that it is outside the financial year. I've tried googling. I've tried looking up my Sage 50 workbooks.

At least in VT Transaction it is just a case of clicking on the year and away you go. I just can't work it out. So I thought I'd ask on here. I know I will kick myself when I find out the answer - which is probably better than option B, kick the computer until it gives me the information.

Panic over for the time being - I hadn't actually updated the invoice so it wasn't actually posted to the accounts.

I still think VT Transaction is easier to work with as regards years.

I think I'll wait until after I've walked out for my weekly newspapers before I start kicking myself.

EDIT : Should add - this is my own accounts I'm referring to, not a clients.

Hi Peasis

It is quite easy, to do on sage to see or view  future transactions in many different ways.

1  Click into the code and go to the activity tab in the drop down box where you have Show you can pick future are you can pick date range in custom range or

Click on the grey area saying date and it puts it in order.

2) Print a Nominal activity report in the Company module

3) Finanials Reports   Print off a transactional Date P& L

Thanks Sarah,

It put a severe dent into my confidence not knowing the answer.

Hi Peasie

Don,t worry . I only meant it was easy to follow once your shown were to go.  I am not sure the show button or pressing the grey area is shown in studies because I train people all the time on this and they don,t seem to be aware of it.

Hope to see you at the Scottish conference on the 28th March we have some really good speakers and training, you can keep your idendity secret .
