Hi..can anyone answer if I can learn computerised payroll (Sage) before manaual book keeping. Is it necassary to learn manual book keeping before learning computerised book keeping. Please answer.

Yes, its vital to learn Bookkeeping manually (which can of course can include doing the Books in word/excel etc) before moving onto a Computerised Software package.

With the Software package the PAYE data & Financial Statements (profit and loss account and balance sheet) are produced at the touch of a button but if you have done manual Bookkeeping you will be MUCH better placed to fully understand  the Software results.
