I have just purchased this for 1 client who has used Sage 50 2011 with his old accountant. He sent me a data file and a screenshot of the version he is using. I installed his data file with no issues. Then went to log on for the first time to view it, I was asked for the logon and password and entered the default password per the help, leaving password blank per the instructions.
But it asked me for a password... after a few mins I opened the screen shot he sent me. It looks like he has a copy of Client Manager 2011, not just sage 50 2011... from it you can see he is logged on using the default password.
So I am wondering if his accountant has given him a copy of the Sage client Manager s/ware and licence key as it is multi user, and if this is why I can't log on without a password?
can someone help clarify before I call Sage for assistance (just a bit worried he is using something unlicensed or which will cause me problems.)
