Creative Remedies Mock - bonuses query

Hello fellow payrollers!
Have given up scratching my head with this problem, and have decided to come to the forum.....

I have entered the bonuses in Month 2 for the monthly paid employees, where they get an additional two weeks pay.  The gross pay figures I get are correct but I get incorrect answers for the tax and NI deductions, for both directors and the employee.  Does anyone have any suggestions why there is a difference?  I am using Sage 50 Payroll.

Top tip...

I put Payroll aside for a few days, then returned with a fresh brain.  The solution was blindingly obvious - I hadn't updated the payroll process for the previous month, as simple as that!

Hi Sarah

How did you get on with the employee details report?  I can only find employee details - personal and it doesn't give the same information as the one in the mock's answers?

Hi Linsay,
I don't think this exact report exists on SAGE.  When I get round to doing the exam I think I'll print out the Employee Details report individually, ie the Personal plus the Attachments, Deductions, Salary, Student Loan etc.  I would hope that this would be acceptable, as not everyone is using the same software.  I will check with the ICB when I order the exam.

Out of interest, did you print out individual reports in the exam?   I am doing the mock at the moment & have come across the issue of the employee report, but when I try to print out other reports ie Salary it comes up with no reports as there is nothing paid yet (only on task 1)

Hi Lindsay,
I printed several reports to show the information required for the exam, as SAGE doesn't have a report which includes all the information.  This must have been acceptable as I passed!
