Payroll and Self-Assessment

Hi All

Can someone tell me what formats these 2 exams are in - i.e. are they they type I do at home or do I have to book into a centre.  Also, is there only just the one paper each, as looking at the syllabus it referrs to both manual and computerised papers for payroll.

I've had a few months off since passing Level III so I think it's time I got cracking with the next ones.  The only issue is I self studied for all of the others, and I'm not really where to start for these ones.  I've done both for years in the most simplistic of ways, but not sure if I could pass when it comes to more complex issues without a bit of studying first...

Hi JoJo,

Both of these exams are completed from home, as soon as you’ve completed your preferred course of study (if required).

The Payroll exam requires an 85% pass and is mainly based on the computerisation of payroll, but manual payroll knowledge is advisable as this helps you understand what is required of you in the exam, and for future troubleshooting.

The Self Assessment exam requires a 100% pass and if you don’t meet the standard on certain aspects, you may simply be asked to complete a particular section again.

Good luck with it all.

Kind regards
