Hanging bank reconciliation on sage instant accounts version 16

Every time i try and do a bank reconciliation using Sage Instant Accounts version 16 the program stops responding.  I am using it  in conjunction with Windows 7 and having "googled" the problem it has been suggested it has something to do with the Sage pdf printer.  I have had to install a freebie pdf creator to print my reports so far and maybe this problem is related.  My support contract with has typically run out with Sage so can anyone advise me as to how to fix this "problem" so i can reconcile my bank account and finish my level II computerised course?

I know it won't solve your problem Claire, but I was running Instant Accounts v16 and Line 50 simultaneously on W7 Pro without any trouble at all.
Are you sure it isn't just a bad piece of software?
Is the software a freebie from a training provider? If so, ask for another... Also, I use Adobe which is a free pdf download.
