Hi


I'm imputting data retrospectively as no bookkeeping ever been done by the Company!!!! Bank reconciliations have been correct and no problem until now. (Working in April 2011)


Last reconciled bank for 04/04/2011 with a figure of 5471.20. Bank account details on SAGE verify it and the bank statement has the same figure. All well and good. Today, when opening Bank Reconciliation screen it gives me a Last reconciled balance of £8213.72. Where did that come from?    Bank Record Account Details screen is telling me one thing and Bank Reconciliation screen another!

Hi


That usually happens when you have made any correctiong to the bank since you last reconciled it i.e. deleting a bank entry.

Hi,
The last reconciled balance must agree with the opening balance of your bank statement as it represents the last reconciliation ending balance.  You can select View History in the bank reconciliation screen. This will display a list of previously reconciled statements. There is also a Statement button on the Bank screen toolbar which contains all reconciled transactions for a chosen date.
