I have a client who has downloaded a programme from a friend, to use herself under my supervision.
Would I be right in thinking that she has got a programme that is under someone elses license and has no cover.
Is she walking a thin line if something goes wrong?

Any helpful information on this would be appreciated

Hi,
You would have to supply more details regarding the software. For instance if it's a Sage product then it would be the friend downloading to your client and quite possible the friend bought a licence for x number of companies.  If it's a SageOne product then it could be the friend has x number of units and used some to allow access to your client to either SageOne cashbook or SageOne accounts. Other than Sage I can't help you further.
