Hi All

I have been given a sole traders accounts to process in SAGE INSTANT accounts and his finacial and Accounting year is 6th April 2011 to 5th April 2012. When I try to program in the finacial year it oly lets me select the month. So when I am posting his transactions for last year it is coming up with an error message when posting 1st April 2012 to 5th April 2012 saying that these transactions are outside the current finacial year.

How can I get round this as when I perform year end this is going to cause a problem if I leave it as it is.

Hi Aaron,


In the circumstances I would suggest all postings from 1st to 5th of April could be posted using 31/03/12 as the transaction date.


For future years either change the accounting date to 31st of March or tell your client to go on holiday for the offending 5 days.
