I am just considering whether to take the ICB exams and am working out the total budget for gaining professional membership. One thing I will need to buy is a multi-company softtware package (so that I can go on after and do different clients' accounts) and I am looking to price up the different options.
What I want is an accounts package to run on my Mac, that is multicompany and has payroll and is suitable for the ICB exams. I need to keep costs down as due to poor health I will only be working a few hours a week.
Can anyone make any recommendations. I have used Sage Instants on a PC in the past but they don't have a Mac version and the PC version seems to not be multiuser. I looked at Quickbooks but the Mac version only has payroll by subscription which is going to get expensive.
I am also keen to use software that will be accepted by accoounts practices in case I get work through any local accountancy firms.
